Djeddah, Arabie Saoudite (UNA) – L’Union des agences de presse de l’OCI (UNA), en partenariat avec le Département de l’information du Secrétariat général de l’Organisation de la Coopération islamique (OCI) et l’Union islamique de radiodiffusion (IBU), organiseront un atelier virtuel (par webinaire) le mardi 23 juin 2020 sur « Les méthodes de vérification des faits lors des crises et la propagation des rumeurs : cas de la COVID-19 ».
Le directeur adjoint de l’UNA, Zayed Sultan Abdullah, a déclaré que l’atelier est disponible dans sa deuxième version en français après avoir mené la première version en arabe le 8 juin passé, dans le cadre des résultats du premier forum de l’Union intitulé « Le rôle des agences de presse dans le soutien aux efforts anti-coronavirus », tenu le 16 mai sous le haut patronage du ministre saoudien par intérim des Médias, président du Conseil exécutif de l’Union, S.E. Dr Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi.
L’atelier intervient également dans la mise en œuvre des décisions des Conférences islamiques des ministres de l’Information et de l’Assemblée générale de l’Union appelant à soutenir le programme des médias sur le continent africain, pour souligner sa position et son rôle dans le monde islamique, ainsi que participer activement à la mise en œuvre de programmes conjoints pour développer les capacités des professionnels des médias en Afrique.
Abdullah a expliqué que l’atelier vise à développer les compétences du personnel des médias sur les méthodes de vérification des informations et des nouvelles en temps de crise et de propagation de rumeurs, et sur la façon de traiter les informations de sources ouvertes pendant les crises et les pandémies, en particulier la pandémie de coronavirus.
Il a ajouté que l’atelier vise également à renforcer le rôle attribué aux agences de presse officielles et aux médias respectables dans la réfutation des rumeurs, la révélation de fausses informations et la diffusion de la vérité, en plus de la façon de vérifier les informations sur les réseaux sociaux.

UNA to hold workshop in French for journalists from OIC countries on fact checking news
Jeddah (17 June 2020) – The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), in partnership with the Department of Information at the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Islamic Broadcasting Union (IBU), will organize a virtual workshop (via video) on Tuesday (23 June 2020) on « Methods of fact-checking news during crises and spread of rumors (COVID-19) ».
UNA Assistant Director Zayed Sultan Abdullah said the workshop comes in its second version in French after conducting the first version in Arabic on June 8, as part of the outputs of the Union’s first forum entitled « The Role of News Agencies in Supporting Anti-Coronavirus Efforts”, held on 16 May under the patronage of Saudi Acting Minister of Media, Chairman of the Union Executive Council H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi.
The workshop also comes in implementation of the decisions of the Islamic Conferences of Ministers of Information and the General Assembly of the Union calling for support to the media program on the African continent, to highlight its position and role in the Islamic world, as well as participating actively in implementing joint programs to develop the capacities of media professionals in Africa.
Abdullah explained that the workshop aims to develop the skills of media personnel on methods of verifying information and news in times of crises and spread of rumors, and how to deal with open-source information during crises and pandemics, especially the coronavirus pandemic.
He added that the workshop also seeks to entrench the role assigned to official news agencies and respectable media outlets in refuting rumors, exposing fake news and spreading the truth, in addition to how to fact check the news on social media networks.

ورشة عمل باللغة الفرنسية لإعلاميي دول « التعاون الإسلامي » لمكافحة الشائعات
جدة ( ) – ينظم اتحاد وكالات أنباء دول منظمة التعاون الإسلامي (يونا) بالشراكة مع إدارة الإعلام- الأمانة العامة لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي ـ واتحاد الإذاعات الإسلامية (إيبو)، يوم الثلاثاء المقبل (23 يونيو2020) ورشة عمل افتراضية (عبر الفيديو) حول طرق التدقيق في الأخبار خلال الأزمات وانتشار الشائعات (كوفيد19).
وقال المدير المساعد لاتحاد (يونا) زايد سلطان عبد الله: إن الورشة تأتي في نسختها الثانية بالفرنسية بعد تنفيذ النسخة الأولى باللغة العربية في 8 يونيو الجاري، ضمن مخرجات الملتقى الأول الذي نظمه الاتحاد بعنوان « دور وكالات الأنباء في مساندة جهود مكافحة كورونا » في السادس عشر من مايو الماضي، برعاية وزير الإعلام السعودي المكلف رئيس المجلس التنفيذي للاتحاد الدكتور ماجد بن عبد الله القصبي.
كما تأتي الورشة تنفيذا لقرارات المؤتمرات الإسلامية لوزراء الإعلام والجمعية العامة للاتحاد الداعية إلى دعم البرنامج الإعلامي الخاص بالقارة الأفريقية، لإبراز مكانتها ودورها في العالم الإسلامي، والمشـاركة بفعاليـة فـي تنفيـذ برامج مشتركة لتنمية قدرات الإعلاميين في القارة الأفريقية.
وأوضح عبدالله، أن الورشة تهدف إلى تنمية مهارات الإعلاميين بشأن طرق التحقق من المعلومات والأخبار في زمن الأزمات وانتشار الشائعات، وكيفية التعامل مع المعلومات مفتوحة المصدر أثناء الأزمات والجوائح، خاصة جائحة فيروس كورونا، ترسيخاً للدور المناط بوكالات الأنباء الرسمية ووسائل الإعلام المعتبرة في دحض الشائعات، وكشف الأخبار المزيفة ونشر الحقيقة، وكيفية التحقق من الأنباء على شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي.
